The Frieda C. Fox Family Foundation
honors Frieda C. Fox, an accomplished teacher, artist, and
musician who was the first in her family to attend college in
the 1920's. Throughout her life, she inspired a love of
learning, self-expression, and compassion within her family
and community. Through this foundation, four generations of
her family hope to do the same.
Our mission is to maximize the potential
of children and youth, with the greater family vision that all
children may have the strong and effective learning
environments they need to encourage their talent, creativity
and excellence independent of their families' income or
economic status.
The foundation provides grants to a
limited number of non-profit organizations serving children
and youth in only two geographic regions: Santa Clara County
and Los Angeles County, California. In addition, we
selectively offer non-financial support such as promotional
video, marketing and fund development consultation, and other
technical support to our nonprofit partners, on a case-by-case
basis to established partners.
The foundation's additional website, http://virtualsitevisit.org/,
provides a gallery of short videos, marketing suggestions,
reliable information, resources, and "how-to" guides for
nonprofits and foundations to use video and online technology
to their advantage in this increasingly digital society.
If you are NEW to this foundation,
and serve children and youth in our geographic area, you may
let us know about your programs for consideration in future
funding cycles by submitting an online Letter of
Introduction. The foundation does not accept full
proposals outside Current
Request for Proposals, nor postal mail submissions of any
kind. For more specific information please review this website
or contact your grants manager, if you are a current or prior
grants recipient.
