During the five week Read-a-Thon, 587 students from Washington Elementary, in Redondo Beach, kept journals to document their reading. Altogether, they read 58,700 pages. The school, along with their sponsors, was able to donate 30 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 30 Jester & Pharley Dolls to the pediatric patients at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, CA. |
