HELPING
HANDS Every little bit adds up as students
in Mrs. Olson's second grade class fill the Jester jug with coins, hoping
to bring a Smile Cart to their local hospital. Not only are these second
graders and other students dropping in loose change, they're also reading
to give - for every 100 pages of extracurricular reading they do in
one month, they receive pledges of $1 to help in the Jester drive.

MAJOR CONTRIBUTION
A baker's dozen of Viejo Elementary School students
in grades K-5 proudly display their "Jester Jingle" certificates
for reading the most pages and being the top fund-raisers in their grade
levels in a month-long Jester & Pharley Literacy for Life drive.
They and other students at the civic-minded Orange County, CA, elementary
school helped raise $6,000 for Jester & Pharley books and dolls
to bring smiles to children in Mission Viejo Medical Center and Children's
Hospital of Orange County, CA.
