During the three week Read-a-Thon, 370 students from Van Deene Avenue Elementary, in Torrance, kept journals to document their reading. Altogether, they read 46,319 pages. The school, along with their sponsor, was able to donate 30 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 30 Jester & Pharley Dolls to the pediatric patients at Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. |
