DEDICATEDStudents at this seaside Southern California school pay close attention as they learn how their month-long participation in a Jester & Pharley Read-a-Thon will give them the opportunity to donate copies of The Jester & Pharley book and doll to young patients at nearby Little Company of Mary and San Pedro Peninsula Hospitals.

WITH RAINBOWS IN THEIR HANDPoint Fermin students are captivated as The Jester & Pharley -- and The Jester' Mom -- return to the kingdom with laughter and colorful rainbows trailing brightly in their footsteps as they realize that laughter is always hiding inside us.

GENEROUS GESTUREAs part of the Literacy for Life program underwritten by the Steinmetz Foundation, Point Fermin classrooms receive a plethora of Jester & Pharley materials to enable educators to teach across the curriculum using The Jester & Pharley as supplemental tools. Materials include The Jester & Pharley Curriculum Supplement, PhunBook, Educator's Guide and Jester & Pharley Dolls, along with The Jester Has Lost His Jingle -- all proudly demonstrated by, from left, Marty Steinmetz and Charlie Steinmetz, of the Steinmetz Foundation; Ellen Wise ofLittle Company of Mary and San Pedro Peninsula Hospitals; Principal Susan Balmanno, and The Jester's Mom.
