During the five week Read-a-Thon, students from President Avenue Elementary kept journals to document their reading. Altogether, they read 501,184 pages! The school, along with the Weingart Foundation, was able to donate 35 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 35 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles for use with their pediatric patients. |
