During the month long Read-a-Thon, 635 students from Jefferson Elementary kept journals to document their reading. Altogether, they read 317,374 pages. The school, along with The Ahmanson Foundation, was able to donate 30 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 30 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA for use with their pediatric patients. |
