During the month long Read-A-Thon students from Jane Addams School kept journals to document their reading. Altogether the first graders read for a total of 30,673 minutes and the upper grades read a total of 46,319 pages. The school, along with The Steinmetz Foundation, was able to donate 30 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 30 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, in Torrance CA for use with their pediatric patients. |
