Honors Top Readers

Top readers at College View Elementary in Huntington Beach beamed with pride as trustees of the Ocean View School District presented them with certificates of excellence for their achievement in a Jester & Pharley Phund Read-A-Thon.

The students and their families joined Principal Kathleen Jaquin, CHOC’s Emma Course and The Phund’s Barbara Saltzman for special recognition at a board meeting. All were the top readers in their grades, K-5, in the Read-A-Thon underwritten by the Jason S. Subotky Charitable Fund.

Ocean View Director of Instruction Anne Silavs praised the students for their dedication in reading so many pages to help young patients at CHOC.
