During the two month Read-a-Thon, students from Catskill Elementary kept journals to document their reading. Altogether, the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders read a total of 115,793 pages, the 1st graders read a total of 37,814 minutes and the kindergartners and 2nd graders read a total of 4,894 books. The school, along with The Norris Foundation, was able to donate 30 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 30 Jester & Pharley Dolls to the pediatric patients at Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. |
