During the two week Read-a-Thon, students from Bonita Street Elementary School, in Carson, kept journals to document their reading. Altogether, they read 141,833 pages. The school, along with the Weingart Foundation, was able to donate 35 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 35 Jester & Pharley Dolls to the pediatric patients at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA. |
