During the five week Read-A-Thon students from Bell Gardens Elementary School kept journals to document their reading. Altogether they read 279,233 pages. The school, along with S. Mark Taper Foundation, was able to donate 30 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 30 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Beverly Hospital in Montebello, CA for use with their pediatric patients.
